What type of people use screenWORKS?
All kinds really – both commercial and social entreprises – we mostly attract independent workers and small start-ups including, Web and SEO specialists, Consultants, Translators, Designers, Writers, Copywriters, Producers, Programmers, Inventors, Architects, Event Co-ordinators, and more
Is screenWORKS for me?
Depends, if you work independently or are a small company or a start-up and fancy the idea of working in a creative social space and are a friendly type, then probably yes. If however you have a problem with hotdesking or you dislike people in general, then you might be happier at home. Why not come down and check it out anyway.
What if I don’t like it and want to leave?
If it’s not for you there is no commitment and you can leave anytime, but we can’t refund any monies for any month already paid for.
Is there any financial support available to cover the cost of workspace membership?
Not that we offer. We don’t have any money. You could approach Scottish Screen, Scottish Enterprise, Skillset or another Screen support agency and make your case though as to why you should receive support. We are happy to advise on this matter.
How do I make payments?
Day trippers can pay on the day. Other users should pay by bank transfer in advance of using the space.
If I have a workspace membership can I still stay late on occasional nights?
Yes, absolutely. You can tell us on the day you wish to stay late and you be billed for a single use Night Pass or you can upgrade to a Workspace 24/7 Membership and stay as late as you want every night.
If I pay for a particular month and I don’t use some or any of it, can I carry the unused time forward?
Afraid not – we don’t have the resources to manage people’s time and in order to keep the operating of screenWORKS simple we charge just once a month. It is up to you to decided what time you need and pay for.
Can I change from one level of membership to another each month?
Yes, go for it.
